Heading to the mangrove swamp and its complex ecosystem
After 10 to 15 minutes of sailing, we arrive in a sheltered bay to discover the mangrove swamp and its complex and diverse ecosystem. At the same time, we will be able to see the first islets.
The islets in the middle....
We will take advantage of our proximity to the islets in the middle of the river to take a short break (snacks, coffee, fruit juice, etc.).
This will be an opportunity for your captain to begin telling you about the history of Martinique, and more specifically, the history of the islets...
Chancel Islet
A stop at Chancel Island is a must, providing an opportunity to continue our historical narrative through the ruins of an old brickworks and sugar factory dating back to the 17th century. Bringing history to life and taking you on a journey through time is our passion.
Of course, this will be an opportunity to encounter the iguana endemic to the Lesser Antilles, Iguana Delicata, and to tell you about its life.
This walk on the Chancel Islets will be an opportunity for you to discover an ecosystem rich and diverse in its fauna and flora.
On the way to the white sands and a swim
Discovering the white sandy seabed is a leisurely activity during which you can enjoy swimming in shallow waters while savoring a snack, a Planter's punch, a Ti punch, fruit juice, etc., with your feet in the water.
The meal
The homemade meal is often a surprise, but mostly chicken-based recipes. Vegetarians will be more than satisfied with the side dishes, such as white rice, red beans, and gratins. Homemade dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks will round off this moment of sharing and conviviality.
Meals can be enjoyed on board the boat, which is fully equipped with shade, tables, etc., or on a small island, depending on the number of people, the weather, etc. We will advise you according to your wishes and the environment.
The last islets
In the afternoon, we will take you to discover the last islets in the bay, and end the day with some free time in the white sands, where you can snorkel, swim, or simply take a nap to digest your meal while listening to the rhythms of nature.
The return
Between 3:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., it will be time to reboard so that the Bonbagay can take you back to port.
Return to the dock by 4 p.m.
